Arbeitsatmosphäre

I had a very difficult experience working for this company. Although the working atmosphere was generally positive, I found it to be incredibly exclusive and cliquey, with a clear inner circle among long-established colleagues. It felt like new joiners were not welcomed into the group, and there was a lot of unnecessary gossip and negativity that made it hard to feel included.

Moreover, the company's flexible working hours policy was completely disregarded, and it was not uncommon for employees to work from 9 to 18 o'clock or even longer, often without adequate compensation or time off. The mandatory Friday and Monday office days were also a huge inconvenience for those who had moved to the city for the job, making it difficult to maintain a healthy work-life balance.

In addition, the company's management seemed indifferent to the needs and concerns of employees, and there were many unnecessary meetings that lasted for hours without any real purpose or outcome. Overall, I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for a positive, supportive work environment

Kommunikation

My experience working for waterdrop was incredibly frustrating due to the poor communication practices and lack of respect between departments. Some departments seemed to believe that they were more important than others, which resulted in unrealistic demands and expectations placed on employees.

In addition to this, the primary communication tool used, Slack, was not an effective way to manage the high volume of messages, channels, and threads. It was challenging to maintain an overview and keep track of important information, which led to missed deadlines and rushed projects. Critical information was often communicated late, leaving employees with a massive backlog of work to complete urgently.

Furthermore, there were many meetings with no real outcome, which felt like a waste of time and resources. Overall, I would not recommend this company due to the poor communication practices and lack of respect between departments. It is essential for management to address these issues and create a more supportive work environment where all departments are valued equally.

Kollegenzusammenhalt

While working with this team, I had a generally positive experience. I enjoyed working alongside my colleagues, and we often had fun while completing our tasks. My direct lead was also very supportive and always had our backs, especially during challenging times.

However, it was difficult to trust others in the workplace, as communication was often spread throughout the team. This lack of confidentiality made it challenging to share important information and collaborate effectively, as there was always a risk that communication could be shared inappropriately.

Overall, I had a good experience working with my immediate team, but the lack of trust and confidentiality in the workplace could be improved. It is essential for management to foster a culture of trust and respect among all employees, which would lead to more effective collaboration and communication.

Work-Life-Balance

The work-life balance at waterdrop was very poor, with long working hours and a high workload. Although management stated that employees could work flexibly during the core hours, in reality, most employees worked much longer hours, with mandatory office days on Fridays and Mondays.

Additionally, there were many unnecessary meetings... that could have been Mail, leading to more work outside of core working hours. Overall, the high workload and lack of flexibility made it challenging to maintain a healthy work-life balance.

In summary, I cannot recommend this company for individuals looking for a good work-life balance. The company culture prioritizes long hours and constant work, making it difficult to maintain a healthy balance between work and personal life.

Vorgesetztenverhalten

My direct lead at this company was generally good with communication and supportive when the workload was too much or when we were handling large projects. However, I found that in the end, their support was not sufficient.

Despite setting goals together, it was often difficult to achieve them due to the already high workload. While my direct lead tried to help us manage our tasks, the workload remained overwhelming, and we were not always able to meet our targets.

Overall, while I appreciated the support and communication from my direct lead, the high workload made it difficult to achieve our goals. I would recommend that management takes a closer look at the workload of employees and ensure that goals are set realistically, taking into account the existing workload

Interessante Aufgaben

The work at waterdrop was challenging due to the lack of established processes and clear guidelines. While this provided the opportunity to shape processes and take on a more creative role, it often resulted in a messy and unstructured work environment.

Additionally, employees were expected to quickly adapt to changes and improvise frequently, which added to the already high workload. While the ability to make decisions and shape processes was a positive aspect of the job, the lack of structure and constant need to improvise made it challenging to keep up with the workload.

Overall, while the opportunity to shape processes was appreciated, the lack of structure and constant need to improvise made the workload challenging. I would recommend that management considers establishing clearer processes and guidelines to make it easier for employees to manage their workload and contribute to the company's success.

Umgang mit älteren Kollegen

Relatively young team, with most colleagues ranging from 20 to 30 years old, and leads in their 30s and 40s. While the age range was diverse, the lack of older colleagues meant that there was limited experience to draw from in the workplace

Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein

I was disappointed with the company's approach to sustainability. While they claimed to be eco-friendly with their return blister policy, which encouraged customers to bring back the blister, I learned that these blisters were just stored in a warehouse, leading me to question the effectiveness of this policy.

Additionally, I noticed that there were many express shipments, which can be incredibly damaging to the environment. As someone who cares deeply about sustainability, I was concerned with the company's greenwashing tactics and lack of genuine effort to reduce their carbon footprint.

I hope that the company takes a more serious approach to sustainability in the future, by implementing more effective policies and reducing their reliance on express shipments.

Gehalt/Sozialleistungen

While the salary offered by the company was slightly above the standard rate, I found that it was not sufficient considering the long working hours and lack of work-life balance. I felt that my compensation did not accurately reflect the amount of work I was putting in, and I struggled to make ends meet on this salary.

In terms of benefits, the company did provide some nice perks such as free fruits, a food voucher, and sport vouchers, as well as special events. However, I would have preferred to receive a higher salary or more flexible working arrangements instead.

Overall, while the benefits offered were appreciated, I believe that the company should reassess their compensation structure and prioritize fair pay for their employees.

Image

In terms of the company image shared among colleagues, there seems to be a divide between the inner circle and new joiners. Those who question things more often or do not align with the vision of the C-Level may be viewed as going against the company. It's also common for them to ask for reviews on Amazon for their products or even request that friends and family members write them. Overall, it feels like there is some pressure to maintain a certain image, which can create a bit of tension in the workplace.

Karriere/Weiterbildung

In terms of career and extra training, the company provided a fixed budget for each team member for trainings, which is a good initiative. However, due to the high workload, at least in my team, nobody was able to use this budget to do any extra training. It's disappointing because as an employee, I wanted to develop my skills and advance in my career, but it was not possible due to the lack of resources and time. Overall, the company could have done better in providing more opportunities for career growth and professional development.
