In no other startup I've experienced such an appreciation in my ever day work. I guess this is the result of the freedom I have. There's no one telling me what to do every day, it's my own responsibility. We are all going for the same goal so it works, people trust each other and there are no politics at all. Nice change compared to other companies :)
Kommunikation
There is a company meeting once a month for everyone where our actual numbers are being communicated, as well as all other information that are relevant for everyone. We also have the chance to ask company strategy related questions, I think there is transparency about pretty much everything. Nobody is hiding information but sometimes you need to gather them proactively, e.g. when your team lead returns from the monthly team lead meeting ;)

My team is awesome :) we trust each other, don't hide opinions and have lots of fun lol. Very truthfully interaction and productive discussions
Work-Life-Balance
Great surprise here! In the beginning I thought "startup, great, so you'd be probably working 50h a week, not 40...." But actually we're doing pretty good with 40. And still have time for some foosball. Daily standups are around lunch time so it really is flexible working hours, not just on the paper. There are also some parents here who really leave when it's time to. Of course, sometimes things go wrong or a deadline is harder to meet than planned, but this really is no comparison to other startups I've been working for. We also have regular events like summer and winter party, housewarming or a company BBQ coming up next, that’s pretty cool. The company even organizes a breakfast for everyone once a month, that’s very nice!

Hierarchies are pretty flat, there are some people taking care of leadership responsibilities like feedback talks, confirming vacation days, etc. but when it comes to collaboration, it is working at eye level. Decisions are being made within the team. Everyone can share their arguments and opinions. There are always open discussions, no decision is being made behind the team's back or something
Interessante Aufgaben
On a high level: fraud prevention is becoming more and more important for online businesses so I feel like we actually do something meaningful. In our everyday working life the freedom we enjoy means it's basically on ourselves to create interesting tasks ;) we're still kind of startup, there's always something to do, and if you identify something interesting, you may take over responsibility for that specific task, consulting everyone relevant. That's great, bc everyone has the chance to "lead" a project that way
Gleichberechtigung
Everyone is being treated with the same respect, no matter where they come from (basically all over the world) or how old they are. For the engineering department - a few more women wouldn't hurt ;)

We do have some older colleagues which is very nice. Good balance considering all these beginning of their 20s. I think on average we are 30-35 or something
Arbeitsbedingungen
Free choice of hardware, very nice office in HafenCity. A quite large team space was divided by inserting extra walls so every team has their own space and has some silence if needed. But there are also many lounge and meeting areas, a small and a big kitchen, a big terrace and even a shower! Can't think of anything that’d be missing. Some even have standing desks and extra chairs without backrest. You'd normally get what you need
Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein
organic fruits, fair trade coffee (Elbgold) (all of that free of charge btw, just like any other drinks you can think of), people turn off the lights when they leave - I think we're pretty good here. But yeah, we do print some stuff

I'm pleased :) Definitely fair market prices, if not a bit over market average (taking startups into account). No high fluctuation so you are able do develop your salary greatly over time

People on the street do not necessarily know us, cause we are a B2B company, but I personally don't need much attention. In the industry we are pretty strong I think. We also organize our own events (online fraud forum e.g.) and among customers, our image is great from what I've heard

It's hard to climb a career ladder cause there aren't many hierarchy levels. But constant learning, exhibitions and trainings are being supported. And what we do is pretty complex so there's lots to learn. We also have a Data Science team that is strong in R&D and tries to share their insights as well, giving reading groups e.g.
