Definitely the team spirit and being seen as a human being. Not just workforce.

Loud people are being heard way better, naturally. (In my very personal opinion) it would add a lot of value to set up a structure to also hearing the quiet people.

I guess taking the time to set up a working structure. Which is hard when there is one blow after another.
Arbeitsatmosphäre
The teams were amazing. Through daily lunch together with everyone you bond easily and get to know each other. A lot of room for mistakes and owning up to them. Employees are very appreciated here.
Kommunikation
Nobody is perfect. Sometimes people who should be in the loop, are forgotten to be put in the loop. That happens and there is a constant thrive to improve and do better.
Kollegenzusammenhalt
Cross-Team spirit really high, easy to talk to everyone.
Work-Life-Balance
The workload was a problem. Because something was always on fire, there was no time to sit down, breathe, think and set up a PDCA cycle and act on it.
That lead to processes not getting better. To be fair, often the problem is not communicated towards management, so there is a communication gap facing up.
Vorgesetztenverhalten
Very mixed, would have liked to give 5 stars here.
C-level management is really open to suggestion, able to listen. Sometimes no action points are taken from feedback (but then again: fire).
Team Leads: Here you can be either lucky or not. Some of the team leads are exceptional leaders, holding together their teams and enabling the best in the team members, communicating openly and constructively. Other(s) seem to be a bit overwhelmed and therefore in over their head, favouring certain team members over others and not having a clear idea of where they want the team to go. Focussing on small, easy wins and forgetting to set up a working structure.
Interessante Aufgaben
The house is burning, it is incredibly interesting to work at Smunch. You will never (!) be bored and you will learn heaps rising to the challenge.
Gleichberechtigung
HR was recruiting for diversity and keeping an eye on the pay gap. This lead to awareness of this topic and equality throughout the teams.
Only thing lacking: diverse age map. Everyone was still quite young.
Umgang mit älteren Kollegen
Cannot really say, because there was none.
Arbeitsbedingungen
Made sure to provide all the tools you need to do your job. Beautiful office and amazing kitchen (of course).
Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein
Surplus food was picked up by charities, with packaging and delivery still being a lot of (partly compostable) material and delivered with gas-run cars, there is room for improvement.
Gehalt/Sozialleistungen
It's a startup, so budgets are tight. Salaries are reflecting that.
You got 25 days of vacation (+ christmas and new years eve off)
BVG subsidy, so you end up paying around 40 EUR for a AB - VBB ticket

3 Stars because you learn a lot on the job or from your team lead, but there is no training or coaching outside of that.
