Super Angebot an Benefits (Sport, Öffis etc)
Nicht ganz so wie erwartet aber es gibt sehr viele Möglichkeiten sich zu entwickeln
Wirklich cooles Team und man hilft sich immer gegenseitig
Supportive environment for a fast career development in a challenging, scale up environment.
As a relatively young company can't offer fancy perks and benefits, but they cover public transport costs, team building events & sport clubs membership.
They are people
They killed the business and sales team with poor decisions and abusive behavior
Try to understand why you are failing and why so many people are leaving. Or don’t try.
Communication is mocked and distrusted by the employees. Abusive team leads are protected, causing many sales people to quit. Leadership incapable of listening.
Leadership often refers to „transparency.“ But favoritism, incompetence and dishonesty rule the day.
Teamspirit, interesting tasks!
You will experience that you work with your friends!
Benefits like Urban Sports Club & BVG
Slack for communication
Summary:
- Dynamic and flexible workplace with meaningful roles and tasks
- Smart, fun, and out-of-the-box thinking colleagues
- Diverse and international team in both offices (Vienna & Berlin)
- Flexible working hours & home office options
- Flat hierarchy and inclusive decision-making processes
The company, including the management, still holds on to its core values, something that most companies drift away from overtime. We have amazing colleagues who all genuinely contribute to a positive atmosphere and work hard to move the company ahead. Colleagues have provided a wealth of knowledge and experience and want you to succeed in your role. byrd has a great working atmosphere and culture and to top things off, the founders are actively engaged with people and activities. Management invests in their teams and actively listens to team concerns and I feel like there is a huge potential for personal growth within the team and due to the incredible growth in the recent year, you really feel connected to the vision and you find your work meaningful and impactful.
Summary:
- Typical startup challenges
- Perks
Fast scaling and expanding to international markets comes at a cost of feeling understaffed to take on all the business problems we want to tackle. Due to that, you need to be ready to wear multiple hats, and having a hands-on mentality helps when it comes to day-to-day tasks. Due to aggressive growth, you need to be willing to stay agile and steer away from being emotionally attached to "how things were" and priorities and processes may change. Perks are not the best in the industry but I would say management has really worked on it in the last 2 years and actively improving. Which seems to be pretty common with startups.
The day-to-day engagement with employees and being transparent about business vision and health is what sets you apart from all the other great companies out there – keep it up!
Keep teams organized and excited and when you see someone struggling, step in, and find the issue. Promote and really push for work/life balance and take care of your employees. Reward hard work with meaningful rewards and push for more perks and benefits for the employees.
- Quick decision to let everyone work from home
- Updated slack to paid version :D
- More possibilities to ask questions and keeping the information flowing (e.g. "ask the CEO anything" sessions)
- Virtual coffee breaks, virtual "after-work-drinks" sessions on Fridays
byrd took all necessary steps to help people work from home, and to make the transition smooth and easy.
Great atmosphere, people enjoy coming to the office, working together
I think byrd ha a positive image and it reflects in the team.
There is a lot to do, and in a start-up/scale-up there is never a boring day :D
This is work in progress - there is definitely room for more!
I would say Berlin start-up/scale-up average
Very strong!
We are a young team, but we also have some "older colleagues" - but age is no issue here!
Always open for questions, requests, and always friendly and positive
Office is still in renovation-mode
A lot is been done in terms of clear and transparent communication. From updating the teams every Monday in an all-hands-call, to a "ask the CEO anything" sessions, the company takes a big effort in keeping everyone in the loop.
Plus no "finger-pointing" or "blaming" culture here.
Making an effort to have a diverse workforce
As mentioned above: you won't be bored here!

Tolles, humorvolles Team.
Fair, ehrlich und sozial.
Modernes Office, frisches Obst und Urban Sports Club Mitgliedschaft.
