Mostly over virtual meetings and Slack, as management and employee base is separated. It appears that management has communication problems itself, as there are parts of it acting quite differently. Though some give an effort to communicate clearly, it does not mean that things are carried out in practice as communicated

Time and work can be managed as one desires, there is no micromanagement concerning that. Overhours might be demanded (and were).
