This is something I know happens religiously within the institute but it is important for all organizations to continue doing so.
A professional and inclusive working atmosphere that encourages collaboration, hard work, and progress.
A perfect balance of work and life. Coming from a US work culture, I was very appreciative of the office's strong emphasis on work and personal well-being.
A diverse and collaborative environment: I found that my time as an intern was not just rewarding because of the work I was provided with but because of the folks I worked with. Everyone has different educational and personal backgrounds/interests but found common ground in their passion for democracy, human rights, social cohesion, and political innovation.

The leadership team continually emphasizes the importance of effective communication. Internal practices and platforms are repeatedly used to ensure the equal share/distribution of information. Communication is not limited to digital platforms but also via in-person meetings, 1-to-1 sessions, and more. Everyone in the office is open to ideas and willing to make adjustments to their communication styles to assist others.
Meetings are increasingly efficient and thoughtfully/strategically planned.
As an intern, I was assigned a range of tasks from research and editing, to social media and workshops. For those passionate about democracy, human rights, innovation, and effective policy, there is no shortage of interesting and engaging work within the Institute and its subsidiaries.
Employees' interests and educational backgrounds included (but weren't limited to) political science, public policy, communication, media/marketing, sociology, education, arts, etc.
