Arbeitsatmosphäre
very hierarchic, interns have cleaning jobs for various parts of the office, architects don't get a lot of responsibility, not even the associates are allowed to take any decisions, you always have to wait days or even weeks to get a meeting with one of the bosses
Kommunikation
very intransparent and superficial, people are told that they are not even allowed to talk about their salaries with other architects (which is probably because architects with the same qualifications get paid different salaries)
Work-Life-Balance
it's basically nonexistent, working long hours and into the weekends is seen as normal and hours don't get compensated properly
Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein
waste paper en masse, which is probably why there's a waste-paper team consisting of a few interns who have to go through the office daily to collect it all
Gehalt/Sozialleistungen
architects sometimes just start of with 4000 chf which is very low in comparison to other architecture offices in Switzerland, you only get 4 weeks of holiday and get poor compensation for overtime
architects who studied in Switzerland tend to get a better salary, sometimes people who already completed their MSc are hired as interns
Image
the image that is published outside the office shines a very bright light on the office, inside it's a completely different story, sometimes people get fired from one day to the other and depending on the team are just very exhausted
