As Feldschlösschen is no longer an independent company, but a highly profitable entity of Carlsberg with expectations on deliverables towards HQ there really is nothing much Feldschlösschen can do to improve the situation for their workforce.
Arbeitsatmosphäre
Pressure is being imposed top-down through the chain of command by setting irresponsible targets within the separate departments. These targets are not aligned across the board so some department targets will collide with other departments. Hereby created friction imposes high stress levels on the oganisation leading to above average burnout case incident numbers.
Kommunikation
Generally quite transparent, but also very political. Regular department newsletters exaggerate achievements and leave out drawbacks. Issues are not adressed openly.
Kollegenzusammenhalt
Being a beverage company the number of social gatherings is naturally high, and with beer readily availabe as a social lubricant the morale is good.
Work-Life-Balance
Most departments expect the employee to „go the extra mile“ regularly and do extra hours.
Vorgesetztenverhalten
Depends on the department head. Some are managing their subordinates responsibly and through leadership by good example.
Interessante Aufgaben
Being the biggest beverage company in Switzerland the number of interesting projects given the market leverage is very high.
Gleichberechtigung
Women do not have the same privileges as their male co-workers. Returning from parental leave mothers must expect a financial and organisational drawback. Part-time is not allowed for returning mothers by company policy.

No derivation from the average.
Arbeitsbedingungen
Many administrative support departments (e.g. procurement, billing, budget controlling, it support) have been dismanteled and their duty has been transferred to centralized service agencies in low-wage countries. Most of the work has been imposed on the line managers and is consuming a considerable part of the daily work.
Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein
Not above the industry average, but with the current societies expectations there is no effort to develop a vision or aspiration.
Gehalt/Sozialleistungen
The renumeration is above average. The pension fund has been superb in the past but has lowered it‘s standards considerably over the past years. Even in difficult years bonusses are paid.

When talking to colleagues they always say that friends and family envy them for their workplace - one of the most well known and respected breweries in Switzerland. But they also refer to the past as being the „good old times“. Older co-workers long for their retirement, most younger employees do not feel loyal towards Feldschlösschen any longer and are open for change. A few years back there was a strong sense of team spirit.
Karriere/Weiterbildung
Trainings and courses have been systematically dismanteled, the former Carlsberg Academy trainings are no longer offered.
