As the driving force behind digitization, the Informatics/Technology function unit has an influence on the whole of Swiss Post and is an important partner in its success. We go beyond core IT tasks and empower the company in its digital transformation. We use the latest technologies and work to advance agile, bimodal and embedded IT innovations. We develop new, secure business models and ensure that Swiss Post has a modern, high-performing ICT infrastructure. In addition, we are committed to the issue of sustainability: our headquarters in Bern have been awarded two certificates for sustainability. All newly built logistics centers meet the Gold sustainability standard at a minimum.

How you make a difference

  • In this challenging role, you act as the key interface between the business and IT in the infrastructure environment.
  • You are responsible for managing payment terminal applications and, in collaboration with internal and external partners, you ensure smooth interface communication with the checkout system.
  • Your core tasks include supporting and further developing the IT infrastructure, particularly in the field of payment terminals, printers, and client and network infrastructure.
  • You develop sustainable IT solutions with a holistic view of technological developments and business requirements.
  • As a member of a business-related cluster, you support projects focusing on Swiss Post branches and self-service solutions, from design to successful implementation, and you ensure the operation of services.

What you have to offer

  • You have completed basic commercial or technical training, ideally supplemented by advanced further training in the field of information technology or business informatics.
  • Your several years of experience in IT infrastructure make you an expert point of contact. Your very good knowledge of Payment Solutions helps you to develop sustainable solutions in projects and operations.
  • You have an analytical and structured working style, which enables you to solve complex problems efficiently. Your ability to learn new tasks quickly and your solution-oriented approach set you apart.
  • Your strengths include good communication skills and a sense of responsibility. You are capable of managing several IT services in a dynamic environment.
  • Your good proficiency in German and English and your basic knowledge of a second national language enable you to engage in professional exchanges with various internal and external stakeholders.

Due to the composition of the team, applications from female candidates are particularly welcome. Working from anywhere in our hubs all over Switzerland is possible, 2 days presence in Bern are desired.
