As the driving force behind digitization, the Informatics/Technology function unit has an influence on the whole of Swiss Post and is an important partner in its success. We go beyond core IT tasks and empower the company in its digital transformation. We use the latest technologies and work to advance agile, bimodal and embedded IT innovations. We develop new, secure business models and ensure that Swiss Post has a modern, high-performing ICT infrastructure. All newly built logistics centers meet the Gold sustainability standard at a minimum.

How you make a difference

  • Have real impact as part of our DevOps team, you will work alongside the “International Mail & Parcels” business unit to build a new, business-critical logistics system that operates 24/7.
  • You won't just develop software; you'll also oversee its operation and monitoring as part of your responsibilities.
  • Thanks to high test coverage (End-to-end testing, TDD for unit tests) and a fully automated CI/CD pipeline, you'll be ready to deploy changes to production daily.
  • You ensure that your solutions run robustly and implement self-recovery mechanisms to guarantee maximum availability.

What you have to offer

  • You're a team player with several years of experience in application development – ideally in an agile DevOps environment. You like to work in a dynamic and agile environment – you embrace change.
  • Strong OOP skills using modern tools and patterns (e.g., C#, ORMs, NoSql, REST and Streaming APIs).
  • You enjoy working with Angular and are familiar with modern frameworks.
  • Experience with cloud development (AWS a plus) and microservice architecture, with additional knowledge of Kafka or Kubernetes.
  • You are proficient in Git, Jenkins, Artifactory, and Sonar, comfortable using agile tools like Jira and Confluence, and familiarity with Grafana, Prometheus, and Splunk is a plus
  • You got some “It runs on my machine” awards but it is a thing of the past – your solutions are reliable and work seamlessly even in complex environments.
  • You communicate fluent in English, both spoken and written, French, German and/or Italian are a plus.
