Good employer but very bad management
Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich
social benefits; payment; being able to take time off (not all-inclusive contracts);if management feels ok, they pay some new courses for the development of employees (but you have to be lucky with the business unit and sympathy factor)
Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich
different treatments within the company; communication ignored when issues are araised; employees are just numbers and not people being appreciated; & more that can't be mentioned here. If you apply for the company, make sure you are in the best business unit, otherwise you'll get stuck, have more work and less compensation.
Verbesserungsvorschläge
proper management in place with a person of authority; HR on spot; same treatment for employees of the same position but different business units; create a pool of resources instead of having to fight between other BU's resources.
Arbeitsatmosphäre
Good atmosphere between same level colleagues but not higher level management
Kommunikation
not always on the same page and not open communication
Kollegenzusammenhalt
depending on the team
Work-Life-Balance
it depends on the phase, it can sometimes be better, sometimes you'll be asked to not put your overtime in your schedule to hide the overtime
Vorgesetztenverhalten
- management rarely on spot
- different treatments between business units as well as payments highly differ, thus creating some sense of unfairness for the same jobs
- country manager is not a manager, has high social anxiety and does prefer to hide in the shadow of the office instead of being a leader and a person of authority. does not care about the issues of employees. usually a kind person, but definetely not a manager nor leader.
Interessante Aufgaben
depending on the position and manager, it can be interesting as well as get quite repetitive and not efficient.
Gleichberechtigung
as mentioned, different business units will treat employees and pay employees differently within the same company, for the same position
Umgang mit älteren Kollegen
usually good
Arbeitsbedingungen
depending on the business unit. the business unit with the least profits has the most pressure, and this is felt on the workload of those business unit.
otherwise, the company offers great social benefits to employees.
Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein
trying to care about the environment, but it seems to be more for the image of the company than really caring
Gehalt/Sozialleistungen
depending on the business unit
social benefits are very good, expect if you are not employed directly by the company itself (e.g. Trenkwalder), then you are a second hand employee within the company, with not the same rights as the Edwards employee
Image
good to the clients, company unknown outside the medicinal world
Karriere/Weiterbildung
moving up usually means having to go to the headquarter in Switzerland, not many options left in Austria
the company sometimes pays for external courses, but only if you're the favorite of the country manager. people have noticed a different treatment of opportunities based on sympathy more than anything else.
