I love that I’m able to work overnight and on the weekend and make about as much as I was while working full time, with full benefits. I am happy to be at a teaching hospital with residents on call in the building 24/7. I like that I’ve had to draw my own labs and start IVs. I have the opportunity to develop my nursing skills beyond what I would do at other hospitals in the area.
Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich
I think we need metal detectors and to search patient belongings on admission. I realize visitors still bring things in for people, but many of the safety issues I’ve faced could have been avoided with these simple measures.

I think they are in the process of improving the nursing education at work, which I appreciate. I wish the cafeteria was open at night.
