Logistics Engineer – shape the future of The Groupage Cross Dock Terminals in DSV.

Join our growing European Groupage Network team.
You will be joining a still-growing team central to our efforts to become One High-Performing Network within DSV, which is embodied in our 2027 European Groupage Network strategy.
The international team of 23 is mostly based at the DSV headquarters in Hedehusene, Denmark. However, you are not required to be based here, as we offer a hybrid work environment where many of your new colleagues work from DSV offices in Germany and the Netherlands.

Develop, research, and standardise Cross Dock concepts and processes.
As our new logistics engineer, you will have a central role in the continuous development and standardization of our Cross Dock Terminals. You will implement strategies, research on innovation, and create standards within our Groupage Cross Dock Terminals. Furthermore, you will drive our standardization journey across Europe– collaborating with colleagues throughout DSV Road network.
As part of this evolving role, you will also eventually delve into process optimization, development, and as well further improvement in the already implemented strategy.
More specifically, your key tasks include:
- Developing and implementing cross dock strategies to optimize our internal processes and structure.
- Monitoring and coordinating implementation of our right-sizing strategy and standardization journey.
- Working with our digital cross dock terminal twin to identify and implement improvements in different workflow processes to increase efficiency and reduce handling costs.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards related to our cross-dock terminals.
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that we will become our “High-preforming Cross dock terminal”.
This job will take you travelling approx. 45 days a year.
Solid Cross Dock and Groupage network experience
You are quick to understand processes, and with your strong collaboration and communication skills, you excel at conveying messages at all levels of an organisation. It is also crucial that you can maintain an overview in a very busy work environment where things often change rapidly.
Also, we expect you to:
- Have 5+ years of experience in the transport and logistics industry.
- Bring in-depth knowledge of cross dock processes and structure.
- Know your way around TMS, driver scanners, master data, routing, zoning logic and reorganisation etc.
- Have project experience and know how to observe deadlines.
- Have experience in developing and implementing new processes and standards.
- Understand regulatory requirements and quality standards within our Cross-dock terminals.
- Have experience working with; designing and maintaining SOPs, implement new structure and continuous improvement.
- Can think out of the box when it comes to innovative technology.
- To have a hands-on mentality when it comes to solution design and thinking.
- Speak and write English effortlessly.
