For our client in Munich (North) we are looking for a Managing Director / Portfolio Manager (m/f/d).

The company is part of a group from Austria.

The location is currently being rebuilt and the headcount is expected to grow to 8-10 employees by the end of the year.

Aufgaben

Portfolio Management:

Manage and oversee concentrated equity portfolio, ensuring alignment with the firm’s investment strategy and objectives.
Maintain coverage of high conviction stocks/ideas/themes
Develop and implement investment strategies that drive alpha generation and risk-adjusted returns.
Conduct thorough analysis and monitoring of portfolio performance, making adjustments as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.

Research and Analysis:

Perform in-depth fundamental analysis of companies, sectors, and industries to identify attractive investment opportunities.
Stay well-informed of market developments, economic trends, and geopolitical events that could impact equity markets.
Utilize quantitative and qualitative analysis to inform investment decisions.

Risk Management:

Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with equity investments.
Ensure portfolios are appropriately diversified and adhere to the firm’s risk management guidelines.
Conduct regular stress testing and scenario analysis to evaluate portfolio resilience under various market conditions and develop proper hedging strategies

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA, CFA) preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in equity portfolio management or a similar role within the investment management industry.
Proven track record of managing successful equity portfolios with a consistent performance record.
Extensive experience working with investment banks and traders

Skills:

Deep knowledge of global equity markets, investment strategies, and financial instruments.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in financial modelling and valuation techniques.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex investment concepts to a diverse audience.
High level of integrity
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Depending on qualifications & professional experience: total package up to 300 k p.a.
