About the role

As a Junior IT Administrator (m/f/d) you'll be working within our IT Operations Team that provides the whole IT for our company. In your role you'll be the first point of contact for ~400 employees as internal end-users. Working alongside highly-motivated, technology-driven colleagues in a team with flat hierarchies gives you the chance of a steep learning curve, getting in touch with new technologies and developing on a professional level in the fields of Security and Infrastructure.

Your Responsibilities

On-boarding of new employees
  • Create accounts for new users including Microsoft365, windows AD, and Linux accounts
  • Setup the hardware for new employees including laptops, workstations, and phones
  • Prepare additional peripherals for new employees, like keyboards, headsets, monitors
  • Setup the workspace for new employees
 Off-boarding of employees
  • Close or disable accounts including Microsoft 365, windows AD, and Linux accounts
  • Track and collect their old equipment and return it to the IT department and storage
  • Recycle laptops, phones, and other peripherals for the new users
 IT storage management
  • Manage and closely track end-user devices in the storage including laptops, workstations, monitors, and other peripheral devices
  • Keep track of the supply in the IT storage and notify supervisor when it's time to order new equipment
  • Manage storage based on general IT demands and internal project demand
  • Tracking assets in the asset manager of our TopDesk ITSM
  • Maintaining the IT inventory for ~1000 assets
 Company phones management
  • Track and manage company phones using Microsoft InTune
  • Prepare new phones for users including setting up protective screens and cases, enrolling it into the management system, and preparing its system for new users
  • Troubleshoot user issues with the phones
  • Deploy new company-approved apps to phones using Microsoft InTune
 Company accounts management
  • Create or manage user accounts for Atlassian, including Jira and Confluence
  • Create and manage VPN certificates for the users
  • Manage different accounts and to name a few, GitLab, unity, Solidworks and many more
 Managing Windows devices
  • Install and prepare Windows laptops and workstations
  • Enroll them in Windows active directory
  • Create and manage devices in the Windows active directory
  • Install software depending on requirements
  • Troubleshoot common Windows problems
 Managing Linux devices
  • Install and prepare Linux (Ubuntu22.04/Ubuntu24.04) laptops and workstations
  • Connect them to our management and automation system Puppet using frontend Foreman
  • Manage devices in Foreman
  • Define and deploy software to the machines using Foreman and Puppet
  • Troubleshoot basic Linux issues
 Providing IT support to the users
  • Use the TopDesk ticketing system to provide support for our internal users
  • Working on tickets and troubleshooting in the scope of the 1st and 2nd Level IT support
  • Closely collaborate with the internal 3rd Level Support
  • Provide support in multiple locations within Munich
  • Occasionally provide support at our production site in Kaufbeuren

  • Not being a stranger to occasional physical work, mainly involving cabling and setup of new workspaces and locations

  • High degree of service and customer orientation
  • Fluent English skills
  • Valid driving license
