A Snapshot of Your Day

As a member of the international South East Europe (SEE) Legal Team, you will be integrated into the global Siemens Energy Legal Counsel network under the leadership of the SEE General Counsel. In the role of a Legal Counsel (m/f/d) based in Vienna, Austria, you will provide legal advice and support with a focus to our local company in Croatia and, in addition, to our local company in Slovenia by steering an external law firm lawyer and our local company in Serbia in cooperation with a further local colleague. You will draft and negotiate product and solution related agreements and represent our interests based on your legal expertise, supported by our standardised legal risk management. How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Legal support with a focus on national and international projects in the energy sector during the sales, execution and warranty phase
  • Drafting, commenting and negotiating tenders and contracts including general advice on public procurement law as a bidder and contractor
  • Legal support with project financing and funding matters together with a project team
  • Legal assessment of operational risks in accordance with internal approval and risk management processes
  • Assessing and commenting on general terms and conditions
  • Supporting the operational project teams in the enforcement of or defense against claims
  • Outside Counsel Management by monitoring and coordinating court and arbitration proceedings
  • Regular business trips

What You Bring

  • 3-5 Years of Experience in an international acting environment
  • Master of Laws (Mag. iur or LL.M.) or Doctor of Laws (Dr. iur. or LL.D.) degree from a university with a focus on Croatian law and/or international business law
  • Bar exam is an advantage
  • General knowledge of Croatian civil law and in antitrust/competition law
  • Understanding of data protection law is an advantage
  • Excellent experience in international contracting and negotiating B2B business
  • Experience in project and solution business is an advantage
  • Excellent written expression and negotiation skills in both Croatian and English (legal language) is material
  • German is an advantage
  • Ability to work independently and within deadlines and acting as a member of a team
  • Capable in handling several tasks simultaneously with different stakeholders

At Siemens Energy we offer competitive compensation and additional benefits based on your performance, experience and qualification. Due to the Austrian legal regulations, we are obliged to state the minimum salary for this position. Please note that there is a clear willingness for a higher compensation considering your individual expectations, expertise and skills. The minimum salary for this position in the collective agreement for the electrical and electronics industry is in the amount of 63.322,16€ gross/year for a full-time position (38,5 h/week).
