About us

Are you passionate about Purchasing and IT? Do you want the opportunity to make your mark on an international company?

This is a family-owned company in the construction industry. They operate internationally with over 60 subsidiaries. They have a newly created opportunity for a Global Category Manager with a focus on IT within Procurement.

The task at hand? They are looking for a dynamic individual with strong experience in Purchasing on an international level and a passion for IT as they seek to centralise purchasing systems and process'.

Tasks

Within this role you will;

  • Lead the centralisation of purchasing process'/systems for all subsidiaries to Germany

  • Manage external Service providers (Hardware, Software, Telecommunications)

  • Sort and track relevant Software Licenses

  • Contract negotiation with new and existing service providers

  • Cost management

  • Drive Procurement IT strategy

  • Be part of Change Management within Procurement process'

  • Unite the business side with the IT side to design future-proof process' and maximum technical efficiency

  • Coordinate teams within Purchasing projects

  • Establish Global Tendering

  • Work with legal to design a standard contract framework

Profile

How to secure this role? You bring;

  • Strong experience in Purchasing/Procuremenet

  • Strong experience in the evaluation, tendering and management of external providers

  • Proven success in contract negotiation

  • A passion for organisation and implementing structure

  • Excellent communication skills in English and German

  • Ability to work well in an international setting, with multi-cultural teams

  • Enthusiasm for merging purchasing with IT excellence
