Our client, a leading European bank that provides a wide range of trading, cross-border transactions, financing services, and term deposits for SMEs and private clients, is currently seeking a junior risk specialist (m/w/d) to join their Financial Risk Team in Frankfurt am Main.

Your Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

  • Identification, ongoing monitoring and management of financial risks, especially liquidity risks and interest rate risks
  • Conceptualising and quantifying the bank's internal capital adequacy
  • Continuing conceptual development and validation of the bank's internal risk models
  • Implementing regulatory requirements for risk management and further development of the bank's risk control system
  • Bearing conceptual responsibility for stress tests
  • Technical support and continuing development of risk control staff

Your Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Qualifications:

  • Successfully completed studies in relevant university degree (e.g. business administration, economics, computer science, mathematics or finance)
  • First professional experience in the risk management area of a bank
  • Strong analytical thinking and highly developed analytical skills
  • Solid knowledge of the requirements arising from ICAAP, IRRBB and CRSBB
  • Strong command of MS Office applications, especially modelling in Excel
  • Quantitative backgound with strong coding and programming skills in Python, R or STATA
  • Fluent English as daily working language, German or other foreign languages such as Serbian, Bulgarian, Macedonian and Romanian would be a plus
  • Strong ability to work in an intercultural team and enjoy interdisciplinary collaboration with team members
