- Provide technical support for industrial finished lubricants in different forums (email, visits, virtual meetings, trade shows, media content) with a sense of urgency; Provide technical data, advice and solutions to sales, distributors and customers generating meaningful sales opportunities for Business Unit Lubricant Additives.
- Develop new and improved products for existing or new industrial finished fluid applications in alignment with customer needs and Anderol finished fluids business strategy.
- Develop new and improved production processes, provide manufacturing support, improve quality and qualify new raw materials for the industrial finished fluids product lines.
- Assure lab compliance, safety and efficiency; Provide timely testing and application technical support for sales efforts.
- Conduct product trials at existing and new accounts to generate new sales revenue while providing the customer with application, formulation and testing guidance.
- Assist in formulation and implementation of long and short term strategic sales plans for the industrial fluids business.
- Build and maintain reliable external relationships with customers and distributors.
- Build and maintain collaborative internal relationships with sales, application technology, technical service, product management, business development, production, supply chain and procurement teams.
- Part of an international team with a global scope and exposure
Requirements
- Technical background in chemistry or engineering (i.e. a successfully completed apprenticeship as laboratory technician, mechanic or similar, or bachelor’s/master’s degree in a relevant field)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the lubricant industry, with a focus on laboratory, technical service, or product development
- Hands-on experience with analytical and performance testing
- Creativity and solution orientation, considers new approaches to old problems; Strategic thinker and self starter
- Team player and cultural aware
- Excellent English and good German language competency
- Willingness to travel internationally
