Position: Head (f/m/d) of Grid Technologies Sales Switzerland

A Snapshot of Your Day

 

As Head of Grid Technologies Sales for Switzerland you are leading the local team, being responsible for implementing, and maintaining regional strategies, identifying business needs, and market potential as well as leading the sales activities for the entire GT portfolio, paving the way for business growth and long-term success while never losing focus on safety, compliance and customer satisfaction. Not only are you accountable for the financial results according to set targets, but you are also consistently striving to exceed them.

As a country manager, who encourages diversity of thought, you take full ownership and accountability by decisively moving forward, actively engaging with key stakeholders (e.g., production sites, customers, internal organization), seeking to build a profitable project pipeline and assuring excellence in execution.

Furthermore, you will be part of the Swiss management team (Mitglied der Geschäftsleitung) and represent Siemens Energy on events and conferences.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • You develop contracts and customer business potentials within your area of responsibility.
  • You implement the sales strategy to achieve the GT ambitions – including local portfolio measures and vertical or market specific sales measures, all in alignment with the production sites and support functions.
  • You lead the local sales organization (around 10 FTE) in Switzerland for GT.
  • You manage the local Product Profit & Loss and are responsible for main financial KPIs.
  • You lead and develop a team including skill development, talent identification and development, succession planning, and continuous improvement.
  • You are the main interface to our Swiss customers for the entire GT portfolio with focus on innovative solutions and business models.
  • You win and manage multiple projects and the identification of technical and commercial risks and opportunities to increase our profitability position.

What You Bring  

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in an engineering / technology subject.
  • Extensive experience in Energy or Energy-related businesses is required – ideally within Switzerland.
  • Experience in managing and developing a (sales) team.
  • Sales mind set, open minded with a hands-on and team approach.
  • Ability to make technical and commercial decisions regarding customer disputes and resolutions.
  • Strong communication skills with experience in interacting with internal and external stakeholders on complex technical, commercial and customer issues.
  • Fluent in German and English language. French/Italian is a plus.
  • Experience in Environment, Health and Safety is a plus.
