We are looking for a senior procurement leader with extensive experience within the food and beverages industry to join the group procurement team as our Group Procurement Director. The role will be based in Baar, Switzerland and will report to our Group CFO.
Responsibilities:
- Developing and driving commodity procurement strategies that deliver supply security of quality ingredients and packaging materials at lowest possible cost for a total procurement value of three digit Mio EUR across ingredients, packaging, energy, transportation, services and co-manufacturing
- Providing strategic supply base management including supplier selection, negotiations, building effective partnerships, and supplier relationship / performance management
- Identifying and leading the team to seek out cost reduction opportunities
- Driving continuous improvement in indirect material procurement and contracting
- Coaching and leading the purchasing organization to successfully deliver savings initiatives, security of supply, build strategic supplier relationships and drive continuous improvement in procurement processes
- Overseeing the operation of the procurement department, including the tracking and management of all company purchases
- Assessing, managing and mitigating risks in procurement processes and in supply contracts and agreements
- Making an active contribution to Capri-Sun’s ESG agenda, driving and contributing to further expansion of recyclable packaging and increase of recycled content in our packaging at an affordable cost and Carbon footprint reduction through energy buying strategies
- Keeping abreast of changes in the market conditions and implementing changes in strategies as necessary
- Working x-functionally, in particular with Marketing and R&D, to ensure OTIF delivery of product, process and technology innovations
- Developing initiatives that maximize benefits from emerging technologies
Profile:
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CPPO (Certified Public Procurement Officer), CPPB (Certified Professional Public Buyer), or CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) are highly desirable
- Required - Extensive experience in all areas of procurement at a senior level including ingredients, packaging, energy, transportation, services and co-manufacturing within food and beverages
- Proven track record of optimizing procurement processes to achieve cost savings, quality improvements, and enhanced supplier performance
- Significant experience in vendor management, contract negotiations, and compliance with procurement policies and regulations
- Strong leadership qualities paired with strategic thinking and strong project management skills
- Ability to lead and mentor a (remote) team of procurement professionals
- Excellent negotiation skills and a keen eye for detail
- Ability to develop and implement procurement strategies to meet organizational goals are essential
