Trade Finance Specialist (m/f/d)

Our client is a prominent foreign bank offering a wide range of banking services, including retail banking, corporate banking, investment services, and international banking. As a state-owned institution, it plays a key role in the financial sector, supporting economic development through financing various projects and initiatives. The bank operates an extensive network of branches and provides both traditional and digital banking solutions.

Currently they are searching for 2 employees: Junior Trade Finance Specialist (m/f/d) and Trade Finance Specialist (m/f/d)

• Independently manage letter of credit products (including early fulfillment, forfaiting, and discounting), debt collection, reimbursements, and foreign guarantees, ensuring adherence to relevant guidelines and regulations.

• Record, process, verify, and approve orders.

• Assess orders for compliance, accuracy, and feasibility, making necessary corrections or additions in consultation with the requester.

• Independently prepare import letters of credit and guarantees (both direct and indirect).

• Review, process, and settle payments for related documents.

• Independently handle all correspondence and associated administrative tasks.

• Actively contribute to process improvements and the enhancement of system development.

• Completed vocational training or a degree in banking or commerce.

• Extensive experience in managing documentary foreign trade transactions.

• Familiarity with letter of credit transfers and back-to-back letter of credit processing is advantageous.

• Detail-oriented, organized, and self-sufficient with excellent communication skills (fluent in German and English).

• Skilled in using banking systems and proficient with the MS Office suite.
