Gerresheimer Peachtree City L.P. was established in 1993 in Peachtree City, GA, as part of the Plastics & Devices Division manufacturing and assembling a variety of precision molded plastic parts for various applications in the medical industry. The subsidiary operates in an 132 K sq. ft. production facility with 200 employees. 

Job Description

  • Coordinate Maintenance Activities: Lead and oversee all maintenance operations at the production site, including inspections, servicing, and repairs. Develop and implement improvement strategies to enhance efficiency and reliability in maintenance practices.
  • Personnel Management: Take responsibility for managing staff within the designated areas (assembly, injection molding, and facility maintenance). This includes planning personnel requirements, fostering professional development, and ensuring optimal resource allocation to meet operational needs.
  • Strategic Compliance: Ensure that all maintenance activities align with the organization’s strategic objectives. Monitor adherence to maintenance standards and guidelines to maintain high levels of service quality.
  • Occupational Safety and Legal Compliance: Uphold and enforce occupational safety standards and legal regulations within the area of responsibility. Foster a culture of safety and ensure that all team members are trained and compliant with safety protocols.
  • Supervision of External Contractors: Oversee and manage the performance of external contractors involved in maintenance activities. Ensure that all work carried out by third parties meets the organization’s standards and requirements.
  • Spare Parts Management: Ensure efficient management of spare parts within the maintenance sector. Implement effective inventory controls and forecasting to minimize downtime and ensure quick access to essential components.
  • Risk Assessment Participation: Actively engage in conducting risk assessments at the production site. Identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate risks, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Proactively lead initiatives aimed at continuous improvement within the maintenance area. Encourage innovative solutions and best practices to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness, contributing to the overall success of the production site.

Qualifications

  • Completed training as a Mechatronics Technician, Electronics Technician, or Plant Mechanic (Heating/Ventilation Technology).
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a relevant field.
  • Further education as a Master Craftsman or Technician is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of English is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge in the relevant technical field.
  • Excellent electrical and mechanical understanding.
  • Proficient in IT applications, including MES, SAP, and MS Office.
  • Familiarity with necessary legal requirements in the area of responsibility.
  • Strong conceptual abilities and innovative thinking.
  • Ability to identify and communicate risks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of managing complex discussions with diverse opinions.
  • Strong argumentation and assertiveness skills.
  • Effective problem-solving abilities, especially in complex or new situations.
  • Ability to adhere to guidelines and departmental objectives..
  • Strong skills in stress management and time management.
  • Basic project management knowledge.
