We are currently looking for a Senior Performance Marketing Automation Manager(m/f/d) to join our team. This is a full-time permanent position. The role is fully remote within Germany or the UK.

This is a critical role within the Marketing Intelligence Team, focused on leveraging AI and automation to maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of SEA and other paid and organic marketing campaigns. The role demands a unique blend of technical and data expertise, analytical prowess, and a deep understanding of automation tools and processes to drive performance in paid media campaigns and beyond.

Your tasks

• You will lead the development and execution of automation strategies for search engine advertising campaigns, focusing on Google Ads, Meta Ads, Bing Ads, and other ad platforms.

• For this you will utilize automation machine learning and AI tools to optimize bidding strategies, keyword management, and ad copy creation to ensure top performance and cost-efficiency.

• You will be responsible not only for the optimization of marketing campaigns but also for executing a variety of segmentation and audience building tasks, to ensure the delivery of highly targeted and effective marketing initiatives.

• You will analyze campaign performance data to make informed decisions on budget allocation and targeting adjustments.

• You will design and execute incrementality tests, such as geo-based experiments, to accurately measure the additional value generated by specific marketing campaigns, ensuring that decisions are informed by the true impact on performance metrics.

• You will conduct ongoing testing (A/B, multivariate) to continually refine and improve campaign strategies based on data-driven insights.

While using AI to enable data activation and process automation for paid media this also will help to leverage AI in other value creating marketing processes – from generating market & competitor, channel & business insights to automating, aligning and scaling creation processes for ads and other inventory.

Your Profile

• You have at least 5 years of relevant experience in SEA, marketing automation or marketing analytics.

• You have proven experience in managing performance campaigns with a strong focus on automation and performance optimization.

• You are an enthusiastic early adopter of AI in your daily work and have proven record of running first projects in marketing utilizing latest developments in AI.

• You have a profound knowledge of optimization and automation functionalities within major advertising platforms, such as Google Ads and Meta Ads, demonstrating the ability to leverage these tools to enhance campaign performance effectively.

• Your natural curiosity and proactive approach helps you to identify and develop new use cases for automation, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness across marketing operations.

• You have a strong proficiency in SEA and automation platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Bing Ads, AdWords Editor, SEMrush, Marin Software) and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
