System Engineer (m/f/d) Flight Management Systems

For our client, a globally operating company in the aerospace industry based in Manching, we are currently filling the following position:

SYSTEM ENGINEER (M/F/D) FLIGHT MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS

• Ability to capture and analyze requirements for both military and civil flight management systems and air traffic control
• Capability to perform concept and architecture engineering for flight management systems
• Experience in the design and development of FMS and automation functions to support the integration of RPAS (Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems) into the general airspace
• Proven expertise in the design and development of flight control functions
• Responsibility for managing suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring successful integration and timely delivery
• Proficiency in specifying and managing verification and validation activities, including lab, ground, and flight testing
• Support for standardization and certification activities in collaboration with international regulatory bodies and agencies
• Ability to contribute to the operational support of systems and ensure their continuous performance
• Active involvement in research activities related to flight management and control systems

• Successfully completed studies in the field of physics or aerospace engineering, or a comparable qualification
• Experience in systems engineering is required
• Knowledge of flight management systems or similar systems is necessary
• Experience with UAV/RPAS is an advantage
• Proficiency in the use of design and simulation tools is required (e.g., Matlab/Simulink, SCADE)
• English language is required
• German language skills are desirable
• High level of motivation
• Willingness to work in an international team
