A Snapshot of Your Day

This position is ideal for someone with extensive experience and strong leadership background in the manufacturing and repairs of power transformers. The role offers the opportunity to be part of a significant project from the ground up, contributing to the development and success of a new facility.

As Manufacturing Head at our new Siemens Energy Transformers Repair Center Europe in Linz, Austria, you will be in the driver seat for the organizing and developing manufacturing processes and relevant interfaces. Consequently, the first phase of the journey in this role will involve ensuring all relevant aspects of the timely factory setup, esp. manufacturing equipment. You will be focusing on the ramp-up of a high-performance manufacturing team for a new repairs and production facility for power transformers.

You will lead the manufacturing team according to the company’s goals and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements. You will ensure and develop your team’s knowledge and contribute to the development of business processes.

 

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Support and implement business strategy, execute based on the Key Performance Indicators
  • Grow into a trustful partner for production technology, factory capacity, production orders, process stability, delivery reliability, and budget compliance.
  • Lead the manufacturing team, including hiring, training, and developing key roles and team members to ensure a skilled and motivated workforce.
  • Define the whole manufacturing process and relevant interfaces, optimize needed resources.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and internal occupational health and safety, quality, environmental and regulatory requirements in the manufacturing area.
  • Support and implement innovation and/or digital tools to expedite the manufacturing process, ensuring high-quality products and competitiveness.
  • Coordinate with the Engineering functions to implement new manufacturing technologies and improve product design for manufacturability.
  • Drive productivity increase and process optimization, initiating activities for continuous improvement.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships within the organization and key stakeholders
 

What You Bring

  • University degree in engineering, industrial engineering or similar
  • At least 10 years of professional experience within manufacturing industries, preferably in the Power Transformer sector or in the Electric and Mechanical area
  • 5 years in a leadership role or equivalent, such as talents with proven track record
  • In-depth knowledge of quality management systems, lean manufacturing principles, and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Technical understanding and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Willingness to learn & openness to feedback.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization and with external partners.

At Siemens Energy we offer competitive compensation and additional benefits based on your performance, experience and qualification. Due to the Austrian legal regulations, we are obliged to state the minimum salary for this position. Please note that there is a clear willingness for a higher compensation considering your individual expectations, expertise and skills. The minimum salary for this position in the collective agreement for the electrical and electronics industry is in the amount of 79.204,72 € gross/year for a full-time position (38,5 h/week).
