As a Lead Python Data Engineer at RoomPriceGenie, you will have an exciting and challenging role at a fast-growing B2B SaaS company. Tech Stack: Python, AWS, Snowflake, Dagster

Activities

The role focuses on data engineering & backend development on our data pipelines, which process hotel reservation data.

• Lead a small team of senior data engineers & Python backend developers, where managing means giving performance reviews, doing regular 1-on-1s, and generally coaching & mentoring the team.

• Design and build automated ETL data pipelines that streamline data flow and processing
• Develop and maintain a robust codebase for efficient data processing—your work will be integral to our operations.
• Foster a strong engineering organization and vibrant development culture within your team—let's grow together!
• Evolve our architecture to seamlessly scale with the increasing demands of users, features, and data.
• Partner closely with Product, taking full ownership of projects from conception to post-deployment in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Reporting directly to the CTO, where your insights will shape our technical vision.
  

Requirements

• Some management & leadership experience would be great.
• 5+ years of professional development experience with Python—you bring expertise to the table.
• Strong background in data processing and extracting insights from large datasets to drive decision-making.
• Proven experience in creating data architectures and developing ETL pipelines for efficient data management.
• Deep understanding of software design principles to ensure quality and maintainability in your work.
• Excellent communication skills—you can articulate complex ideas clearly and collaborate effectively.
• High ownership mentality—you take pride in your work and drive projects to completion.
• A true team player, egoless and empathetic, who thrives in a collaborative environment.
• Fluent in English, able to engage in technical discussions with ease.
