(Senior) Energy Engineer (m/f/d)

Location: Berlin

Your tasks

Analyze energy data and usage patterns and recommend optimization strategies.
Conduct energy audits and assessments to identify efficiency improvements.
Develop and implement strategies for optimizing energy consumption in buildings.
Design and evaluate renewable energy systems (solar, wind, etc.) and energy storage solutions.
Analyze energy data, prepare reports, and present findings to stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with energy regulations, sustainability standards, and environmental policies.
Research and recommend innovative energy solutions and emerging technologies.
Support cost-benefit analyses and ROI calculations for energy projects.
Develop and manage project budgets, including capital and operational expenses.
Track and report financial performance, including ROI, payback periods, cost savings, energy savings, and environmental impact assessments, and present them to management.
Monitor and report on post-implementation performance, ensuring energy savings are realized and maintained.

Your profile

Bachelor's or master’s degree in Energy Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience in energy management, renewable energy, or building efficiency projects.
Minimum 5 years of experience managing energy projects.
Strong understanding of building systems, energy conservation technologies, renewable energy integration, and energy modeling software.
Knowledge of energy modeling software (e.g., EnergyPlus, HOMER).
Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and incentives for energy efficiency projects.
Knowledge of renewable energy technologies (solar, wind, geothermal).
Excellent project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong analytical skills to assess energy data and identify savings opportunities.
Solid understanding of energy-efficient technologies, HVAC systems, lighting, and building automation.
Strong communication skills in German and English, both written and verbal, for reporting and stakeholder engagement.
Ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage relationships with contractors and service providers.
