Student Assistant (m/f/x) DevOps / Software Engineering

The Deep MI Lab (deep-mi.org; github.com/Deep-MI) at the German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases in Bonn is now looking for a DevOps / software engineering student assistant in the area of AI in medical imaging for up to 19 hours / week.

Support the development, testing, quality control, documentation, and maintenance of scientific software projects:

• Design and maintenance of Git repositories / Python packages
• Development and maintenance of test pipelines and unit tests
• Creation of Docker images for the distribution of the software
• Designing interfaces for programmers, neuroscientists, and doctors

• Very good programming skills (especially Python) and good programming style
• Good knowledge of software engineering methods
• Experience with DevOps: Git, Docker, Continuous Integration, Google Colab
• Experience with Linux system administration or high-performance computing desirable
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science (or comparable technical subject) desirable
• Currently matriculated at a German university
