Student Assistant (m/f/x) DevOps / Software EngineeringCode: 1374/2024/12
The Deep MI Lab (deep-mi.org; github.com/Deep-MI) at the German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases in Bonn is now looking for a DevOps / software engineering student assistant in the area of AI in medical imaging for up to 19 hours / week.
Your role in detail
Support the development, testing, quality control, documentation, and maintenance of scientific software projects:
- Design and maintenance of Git repositories / Python packages
- Development and maintenance of test pipelines and unit tests
- Creation of Docker images for the distribution of the software
- Designing interfaces for programmers, neuroscientists, and doctors
Your qualifications
- Very good programming skills (especially Python) and good programming style
- Good knowledge of software engineering methods
- Experience with DevOps: Git, Docker, Continuous Integration, Google Colab
- Experience with Linux system administration or high-performance computing desirable
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science (or comparable technical subject) desirable
- Currently matriculated at a German university
