Amazing employer. You are treated as a person, not a tool. And they allow you to develop your skills whenever possible.
Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich
You're treated as a person first and not as a replaceable tool. If they notice a collective need, they'll provide whatever is in their power to help. If you communicate openly, they'll adapt to suit your situation whenever possible.
Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich
- Communication isn't always great and if something is important to you, you gotta make sure it's communicated up/down the chain of people that need to know.
Verbesserungsvorschläge
- Keep up the communication improvements!
- Be more strict with code standards and documentation updates.
Arbeitsatmosphäre
I highly recommend working at the office if you can. It's always fun there. You get to hang out and joke around while you work. If you're the type of person that can self-discipline socialising with productivity, it's really cool there. If not, they're a remote-first company. And you're never really missing out on anything important by being at home.
Kommunikation
Currently doesn't always work great. Lots gets lost in a "he said, she said" game. But as I type this there's a push happening to crate Confluence pages to function as a "single-source-of-truth" for decisions, procedures, etc. And I already see it getting better in the projects that started adopting it.
Kollegenzusammenhalt
Personally, I never had more fun with my colleagues than I do here. The default vibe really is "how can we help each other".
Work-Life-Balance
Trust-based system. If you have something going on that'll affect your work, just be open to them and they'll help you make room for your life.
Vorgesetztenverhalten
I did have one manager that I felt micromanaged a lot. But I gave that feedback and got switched teams and I **love** my manager now. The tech lead is also a very chilled guy. Make sure your tasks are moving forward, notify promptly when they are not and why they are not, then everything will be fine. I've never experienced the "blame game" here.
Interessante Aufgaben
The hackathons are AMAZING!!! And I love them (they happen 4 times a year). Day to day tasks (read: "client tasks") aren't always exciting though. But if you play your cards right, your hackathon tasks become client tasks for the next quarter and that's when work feels the best.
Gleichberechtigung
As a woman and a foreigner, I've never felt any misogyny or xenophobia *at all*. Also, it's important to note that your opinions are valued, even while you're "the new guy at the company".
Gehalt/Sozialleistungen
On par with other agencies in Hamburg

They keep getting awards, so 4 stars, I guess? Sometimes we complain amongst each other because communication didn't work great. But like I said earlier, I see that changing for the better right now.
Karriere/Weiterbildung
There are yearly meets about your career development and they're very open on "promotion criteria", so it's really up to you if you want a career here or not.
