Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich

The breakfast is nice but also nothing out of the ordinary. Company events used to be fun but who knows if they will be continued in the future.

Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich

LOVOO has clearly lost its course and isn't what it used to be.

Verbesserungsvorschläge

Develop a REAL vision and mission for the future and try to, at least, keep a bare minimum of dignity within this group structure. And treat your employees better (there used to be times when this was the case) or otherwise you'll be left with nothing.

Arbeitsatmosphäre

It's basically always the same people that get praised and rewarded. The fun and spirit of the "old LOVOO" is gone for good.

Kommunikation

There used to be regular updates and townhall meetings but it's getting less frequent and information is mostly meaningless.

Kollegenzusammenhalt

There used to be very strong bonds within teams but also across. Since a lot of (good) people have left and the number of company events has decreased dramatically, this is not the case anymore.

Work-Life-Balance

You're not gonna have a burnout if you do it right.

Vorgesetztenverhalten

After quite a few management changes in a short time, leadership isn't what it used to be. It rubs off on lower levels and damages the working environment as well as progress.

Interessante Aufgaben

If you're lucky, you'll get to work on something interesting. But since the courage and bravery of the old days is mostly gone, it's probably not gonna happen.

Gleichberechtigung

The new management team is male / straight / white and has no interest in diversifying the top. Also on the level below there are hardly any women or diverse people. Also there is a blind eye to sexist behavior.

Umgang mit älteren Kollegen

There are hardly any and the ones that are there, are not really visible.

Arbeitsbedingungen

In a lot of cases, the hardware isn't up-to-date. The offices don't get used as much as they used to and you can see that. Things like decorations and interior design are mostly outdated or display a lack of taste.

Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein

Over the past two years, the company has tried very hard to label itself green but the efforts are oftentimes short lived, actionist and/or serving only PR purposes.

Gehalt/Sozialleistungen

One of the things people complain about the most and rightfully so: wages are not competitive anymore and are also not keeping up with inflation at all. In fact, you're losing money if you don't belong to the small circle of employees who get (small) raises.

Karriere/Weiterbildung

This is a tough one. It's really hard to get into the development process - and even if you do, it's very possible that you're only getting promises, and are kept waiting for months or you are offered a promotion with little to no raise at all.

Dear LOVOOian,

Thank you for taking the time to give us detailed feedback on every single category.

First of all, we want to say how sad we feel that you have gained a generally negative impression of LOVOO and that you are pessimistic about the changes of the past years.

We have a vision that we are all working on every day and which we are gradually getting closer to. If you have any concerns or further ideas, our management always has an open ear, which he keeps emphasizing as it is really important to him.

For us, it is a harsh statement that you feel that you or the LOVOO employees are not treated well. It is very important to us to approach all LOVOOians in a respectful and appreciative way. This is in our DNA and is lived by the management, and all employees. Even if there may be disagreements, we stick to these values. In difficult cases, the Team and People Development Team can always be consulted for support. Equality is also very important to us. One example of this is that we currently have around 40 percent female managers.

It is really hard for us to hear, that you have the feeling, Lovoo isn't doing enough against sexist behavior, as this topic is very important to us and we don't tolerate any kind of discrimination. We have various rules of conduct, one-to-one meetings with the direct managers, and anonymous feedback methods to prevent issues such as sexist behavior. We are particularly keen to give employees the feeling that they can speak to us at any time about inappropriate behavior in order to create a generally fear-free working atmosphere. If you have any further feedback here, we strongly ask you to use one of these tools to share the feedback with us. Making our employees feel safe is our top priority.

The management and the employees themselves keep each other informed about new features, plans, problems, and projects through various channels and meetings, such as the show- and knowledge-time and the release board update. Furthermore, the management update takes place every two weeks, in which all managers participate and pass on important information to all employees. Not to forget the management Q&A where every LOVOOian can participate and ask questions. There are a lot of possibilities for all LOVOOians to get updated.

Again: We really think it's a pity that you don't feel heard and that you mostly feel negative about LOVOO.
