OK work atmosphere, unsure leadership
Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich
Interesting product and industry potential.
Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich
Corporate drive and potential is there, but there is a lot of mismanagement and inexperienced and unsupporting team leaders constantly stonewalling progress for very many (politics).
Verbesserungsvorschläge
Focus more on sales and less on brand image. Hire a full-time (not outsourced) HR team to help employee issues. Management to treat team members with individual respect and support, and to above all respect work-life balance and humane working hours (ex: 9-6 OK, 9-9 not OK)
Arbeitsatmosphäre
Nice open office space, fully stocked kitchen, generally good camaraderie among the teams
Kommunikation
Aside from Slack chats, proper, timely, and correctly-spelled internal communication was lacking (work language is English)
Kollegenzusammenhalt
Team member collaboration is great in person and via Slack, but management not so open and honest
Work-Life-Balance
Work-life balance was OK for me, but only existed in balance if you pushed hard to superiors about your needs to have a work-life balance, which was not seen well in the eyes of management for everyone
Vorgesetztenverhalten
Not only myself but many other colleagues had terrible experiences with direct managers and upper management. Department leaders were nice in person but would not honor their team members all the time. My superior for example postponed the jour fixe by 4 months for no reason
Interessante Aufgaben
Definitely an interesting work field, very big in North America, maybe will be successful in Europe
Arbeitsbedingungen
No computer or desk for the 1st week of employment, had to push very hard to get a work machine
Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein
Kitchen stocked with organic and often fair trade products
Gehalt/Sozialleistungen
Higher than usual salary for Berlin, but again, terrible management
Image
Brand image does not fit the culture and product
Karriere/Weiterbildung
Some shady tactics used to force full-time (angestellte) employees to leave, no HR team and no development, often lack of interest from management to support the skills of employees in key areas for the company
