Not recommended for developers
Arbeitsatmosphäre
The key word here is chaos.
While some people thrive in chaos and enjoy the freedoms it entails it is unclear to me how a firm with hundreds of SE's, which needs to adhere to strict payment processing regulations and standards, and asks its SME clients to entrust their livelihood in it can afford to just "YOLO" its dev culture and practices.
A culture of "throwing away" (vs maintaining) has created over 2000 repositories and counting, lack of ownership or visibility drives teams to build everything from scratch, sometimes even their very own services.
Kommunikation
Direct communication works well (all hands and such), but attempts at propagating info down the organisational structure tend to fail miserably. there is also a surprising amount of politics involved in simple technical collaboration between the tribes and within them
Kollegenzusammenhalt
The people are really the only saving grace here
Work-Life-Balance
No one will ever demand you work unreasonable hours, but they will be disappointed if you don't
Gleichberechtigung
Many female colleges but almost no females in management positions
Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein
Flying ppl around the globe for meetings that could be emails, throwing lavish parties in resorts at the same time of mass layoffs
Gehalt/Sozialleistungen
Great salary, many other benefits that are sometimes hard to actually gain access to. (z.b. learning budget, travel expenses)
Image
It's really a mix, some ppl are smitten with how the company portrays itself while others are pushing to unionise in order to address unfair conditions
