In your message, there are details (mostly assumptions) that are not true so I will try to give you a detailed answer.

When it comes to working conditions, we do offer a range of benefits based on the pain points of our employees, and what is more, we keep doing it to provide the best employee experience at all times. Benefits like mobility and food subsidies, Team budget, Learning budget, complete coverage of all costs of gym options, free mental health app - with dedicated psychotherapists, Vivid Prime for free, among others, are there for all Vividians. We are additionally providing salaries that match the average ones of the market and yearly salary reviews. When it comes to working conditions, we do offer multiple options to benefit the Life-Work Balance. For employees working in shifts, we are also very flexible by hearing your preference and allowing you to swap. When it comes to communication efforts, we have different global company meetings in which we tackle a wide spectrum of topics, different Slack channels, coaching with HR members, and a powerful content management tool in which we collect and update all info regarding employees' care, satisfaction and safety. However, we can only improve and we are inviting you to contact us to provide more details about this communication aspect.

In regards to your main pain point - forcing employees to come to the office even with 1 single positive case - we must say it is not true.
We passed from 5 days to work in the office to a remote-friendly policy (yes, we do have a Remote work policy which reinforces this idea), offering 3 days working in the office and 2 at home. Monthly, we are talking about 12 days working from the office out of 30 days that you can arrange at your preference, on the shift of your choice.

When it comes to COVID-19, we do have policies in place that ensure safety at all times: Hot Desk Policy and Office Workplace option. Needless to say, we are following the recommendations of the German authorities. In case there is any positive case (regardless of the employee tested positive or negative that specific day or any day close to the day where he/she was in the office), we inform everyone who was in the office that day to quarantine for 2 weeks regardless of consistent negative corona test results. And that is exactly what happened regarding the case you are writing about. So we did, and in that case, we took measures and led to a successful situation for all of us.

It is part of our culture to reinforce onsite efforts to preserve our company culture and values, however, and as we have mentioned, we remain flexible as well as we conduct Engagement Surveys to listen to our employees and work on your wishes.
