Interesting product and technology but terrible management and career opportunities.
Arbeitsatmosphäre
There is a lot of work and not too many experienced employees as turnover is very very high in most teams. This means that complex problems often are put onto specific employees or delayed due to insufficient resources. Example, during my time working there the entire HR team came and left 2 times.
Kommunikation
Communication from higher management is authoritative and unfortunately at the same time often inconsistent, as something shared by HR in one week might be overruled by C-level in the next week.
Kollegenzusammenhalt
Direct and (technical) colleagues are a joy to work with but much overhead is not being held at bay by management but instead gets passed onto the general employee.
Work-Life-Balance
Unless you have an all-in contract my experience has been that they do not overstep on your contracted hours. There are company events but these are not mandatory. Besides this, not once have I been called outside my standard work hours.
Vorgesetztenverhalten
Management is abysmal, some technical employees are "manager in name only" as any choices are made only on C-level
Interessante Aufgaben
Competitive and growing industry and the technical tools and challenges in this company are interesting. The products itself also have name recognition in the industry.
Arbeitsbedingungen
Open office plan with modern facilities. Hybrid working with a minimum of two days per week in the office.
Gehalt/Sozialleistungen
The salaries are most often at the "minimum" of the Kollektivvertrag for your type of position. There is only one person deciding on salaries for the entire IT department of the company and this person would only allow a higher salary if you take an "all-in" contract in my case even if you negotiate with a job offer from a different company in hand.
Karriere/Weiterbildung
Changing position in the company is possible and happens quite a lot. In the time I was working there, there were no possibilities for studies and career development. Besides this, officially there were yearly reviews on salary and career development, but every year there was a different reason (or no reason) for not holding these yearly reviews.
