Arbeitsatmosphäre
I do appreciate working at a University but the building is not really ideal. The on campus cafe is nice and the food is good. On the 6th floor we have a roof terrace that can be used by staff and is very nice on sunny days.
Kommunikation
Communication at CEU is a mixed bag. I don't appreciate reading about important changes at CEU in the newspaper rather than being informed from our higher management. At the same time in my team communication is very open and we know what is going on with each other.
Kollegenzusammenhalt
My colleagues are wonderful and I enjoy working with them greatly. We joke at work and I also meet my colleagues in my spare time. When I need help I can count on my colleagues.
Work-Life-Balance
No complaints in this regard. At least in my department we do not need to work much over time and lunch time is included in our working hours.

Interessante Aufgaben
Yes, I get to be involved in very interesting projects and love working with the very bright students. If you are interested in getting involved in more interesting projects, there are always opportunities that go beyond the job description.
Gleichberechtigung
It is very evident that staff is female, and faculty is male. Not enough is bing done to change this.

We had several cases where colleagues who worked for CEU for several decades were let go.
