For now, you will most probably be better off somewhere else.
Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich
From an employee's perspective, ecosio's past. I just can't find anything special anymore job-wise that you would not find better somewhere else, but also without the bad things.
But I will say: the colleagues you will meet and the friendships you will gain at ecosio are exceptional.

Verbesserungsvorschläge
This company was built on people who were constantly ready to change, to work hard, to learn and to get better – it was a tech start-up, that was thrilling, fun, and rewarding to work for. Listen to your people again, change with your people and appreciate them for their effort.
And please do not call disappointing employees with faulty promises and worse contracts “change”. Absolutely nobody has to happily go along with that type of change.
Given, ecosio wants to be a good workplace for employees again of course. But if the goal for now is just fast growth on paper in a short time no matter what, just keep going!
Arbeitsatmosphäre
Presently, every employee had to accept a severe change in contracts (into a so-called all-in contract, that includes all overtime). If you are not willing to change, you will lose your right to do flexible hours.
This, among other recent developments, is a huge problem because this company relies on their employees doing constant overtime. The results are major setbacks for people's salaries, and, in my opinion even worse, a general sense of not being appreciated anymore on a personal level.
You can get a feeling of what is happening regarding working atmosphere by reading some recent reviews on kununu.
I am giving one star because by executing this the way they did, the company apparently wasn't concerned about the working atmosphere in any way, or they boldly anticipated some people to get frustrated and just did it anyway.
Kommunikation
Over the course of the last two years, the transparency, consistency, and reliability provided by the top-level management got questionable. It turned to be rather top-down, very hierarchical, as well as constricting. Directions, and reasons for certain decisions, were often changed or unclear. Promises regarding strategic decisions (i.e., hiring new people) were made and broken.
I am giving one star because management delivers a strong impression of transparency, flat hierarchy as well as reliability, but in the long term you cannot really rely on what is told.
Kollegenzusammenhalt
Creating a team-spirit based on going through extreme stressful and hour-heavy projects over and over again might lead to a lot of sympathy for each other, and to winning very nice friends.
But I am still giving one star here because, in my opinion and experience, there are healthier and longer-lasting ways to build up strong teams.
Work-Life-Balance
Maintaining a healthy work-life-balance is very hard due to a constant, very heavy workload for just too few people. They could reduce that by finally hiring more people, or just hearing the struggles of operative employees and making changes that will improve work efficiency – but that is, in my perspective, a promise broken over and over again.
I am giving one star because this company just constantly throws huge work-loads at everyone, but now takes away the financial appreciation off those who actually like to work hard (or otherwise taking away the possibility of a flexible work-life for those who would need it).
Vorgesetztenverhalten
The High-Level Management (whether intentional or not), in my opinion, takes advantage of the well-hearted people, who have a hard time saying no. Promises of reduced work-load, career development, new colleagues or fair payment are constantly made, but also constantly broken with just more and more work. I just cannot see it as anything else but a strategy to use people as long as possible instead of giving them a chance to develop.
Employee-feedback is encouraged, but not respected.
I probably would not personally blame the individuals among the high-level managers, as most of them are kind and nice people off work. But still, their decisions, their management style as well as their intentions got this organization where it is now: maybe for now a successful company, but not a good tech-place to work anymore from an employee-perspective. This is why I am giving one star.
Interessante Aufgaben
EDI can be a very broad and interesting field of work!
Gleichberechtigung
There is, at least what I saw, absolutely no discrimination in any form. On a personal level, everyone is very nice and polite.
Arbeitsbedingungen
You will get a capable computer. The office in Vienna is very nice, if you want to go, but international remote work is 100% possible.
Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein
Doesn't really seem to be on the agenda.
Gehalt/Sozialleistungen
This is a very sensitive and individual topic – I can't judge what a fair salary is for the individual person and how far one wants to go to achieve it in negotiations.
I am giving two stars because of the new contracts. It just seems to be such a ridiculous decision for a company this size to introduce all-in contracts for just everyone, as there are just so many like-wise companies out there that will not have those for operative employees.
This sort of contract was originally designed for high-level management to ease the bureaucratic effort for their constant overtime – financially well compensated, of course. Using this for the regular employee (even for people that just started to work with no real power for negotiating a higher salary) seems, at least to me, to be somewhat between a joke and actual exploitation.
