Project and task estimations done by developers in hours instead of complexity. This resulted in time pressure, rushed features or tight deadlines.

Bringing people more often together. Most people were doing home office so it got lonely real quick. Maybe monthly get togethers would help.
Also clearly defining the projects scope and requirements before starting to work. For big projects this has been done most of the time, but for quick demos and certain wished features information was lacking.
Arbeitsatmosphäre
Very friendly colleagues, both within the department and company wise. Everybody got along well with each other and in case of any issue, professional communication has been done, instead of harassing each other.
Kommunikation
Very good communication within the department. Communication with different departments could have been better. For example, some unclear details about a quick demo that needs to be done or important information missing for estimating a projects timeframe.
Kollegenzusammenhalt
Colleagues are very friendly and forthcoming. In case of any issue the resolution was always to openly communicate with each other.
Work-Life-Balance
You can choose between a 4 or 5 days working model. Most people were choosing to work 4 days. The weekly hours can be spent very flexibly. And as long as no project deadline has been planned yet, holidays can also be put spontaneously. Additionally the company has a remote working model. Within your country you can work from anywhere. You can also apply to work from a foreign country.
Vorgesetztenverhalten
There are monthly update meetings where management presents the state of the company to all employees. Sadly, besides this meetings, transparency of management to its employees is lacking. You were encouraged and had the opportunity to give feedback to management, but on the decision making part, it felt like there was a big gap between management and employees.
Interessante Aufgaben
It is encouraged to bring your own ideas into the projects. Within my department it was also looked after to give people tasks they where interested in. The only downside was the lack of projects at the time of me leaving the company.
Arbeitsbedingungen
One big office where everybody could basically sit in any desk they wished for. The reason for that is, that most of the time, people where in home office. The main working equipment was a powerful laptop which enabled work from anywhere.
Gehalt/Sozialleistungen
Salary is being paid on time. Hight of salary is above Kollektivvertrag. One point to make is that the company is using the marketing Kollektivvertrag instead of IT but they were open to adjust salary accordingly.
Karriere/Weiterbildung
Management is rock solid and departments rather small so there is not much room to move up within the hierarchy. As for educational opportunities, the company provides its employees with free access to training portals like Pluralsite and also invests for people to travel to work related events / conventions for educational purposes and to connect with the industry.
