Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich

Work life balance if you take care about yourself!

canteen which is supported

actually pretty cool stuff like drilling a hole in the ground several 1000m deep and heavy machinery everywhere but not long anymore will be outsourced soon so hurry up to see it!!

Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich

The lazy folks who make your life difficult by not doing their job but telling everybody how good they are.

The management level who make decisions based on gut feeling and rumors and act without any plan cause the strategy/vision is missing.

Thinks a university degree judges about intelligence. (Almost all managers studied together in Leoben and never stopped their student party just continue it till now and pretend to do high science here!)

Verbesserungsvorschläge

Make a strategy, implement it and stick to it. Don't change every 2 years the management, kick out the unwanted managers below and let a subsidiary without plan for 3-4 years until the next one is in charge for 2-3 years until you replace this guy again.

Stop trying to governance a subsidiary by the bunker of powerpoint experts who listen to McKinsey, KPMG, Ernst & Young and so on, they know nothing about how an oil & gas company is actually working.

Hire employees if you have enough work for the next 20 years or tell to people to search for something else! Get rid of the lazy ones!

Arbeitsatmosphäre

If you are doing what you should, you will be stopped as soon as you need something from another department... The "normal" OMV employee is chronically overloaded if you want something done, but has time to drink 15 coffees a day and sit 2 hours at lunch in the canteen.

Best advice take it as it is... Don't think! The employee (Blue color) is the biggest enemy of the company. Still stuck in the 90's trend of outsourcing. It's cool... we don't need to think and are not responsible anymore.

Kommunikation

The OMV principle of communication is... If it's about you then you are the last one to know about.

Kollegenzusammenhalt

Mentioned above... Great if you need a partner to drink coffee and want to talk about weird things like conspiracy theories of the rothschild's or covid 19 at the moment

Work-Life-Balance

If you come to the point where you accept you can't change anything, do only the absolute necessary work and ignore the endless marvelous ideas of the Head Office colleagues and the management, you'll find out that you can do your job in half a day and then you act as you are completely exhausted and pretend to bee busy. After 20 years of this you develop a boreout and sit around watching youtube and ignoring calls and emails. Then your workload will be fine.

Vorgesetztenverhalten

Nobody hurts anybody! So that no one has anything to do! If you need something from a colleague and the folk ignores you and you report this to your manager you'll get answers like the guy is a bit strange or this folk is overstrained with his life and stuff like this. But no one tells the guy to do his job.

Interessante Aufgaben

The tasks are most of the time on a very low level as the average head of department acts on a knowledge of a school kid and believes in fairy tales and rumors of employees and tells you the same from the magic leaders high up which has nothing to do with reality anymore.

Gleichberechtigung

If you are a white male with a university degree of Leoben, I believe it would be okay... Other opinions won't be accepted!

Umgang mit älteren Kollegen

The old folks are only running around and talking about social plan and when to retire. The works council is supporting this. They get paid 15 times a year double the money of younger employees plus a bonus of around a monthly payment annually. They tell everyone they are heros and how it was in the glory past times but are actually sitting around and let others do the job for what they get paid for. And nobody cares. Their superiors are joking about them and say let them be.

Arbeitsbedingungen

Laptops, screens, i phones everything is provided but you can easily end up in a 40 year old office where nobody has ever painted the wall since then.

Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein

The company is very social... As mentioned you can do nothing and still nobody tells you to do your job. You just need to ignore everybody. Worst case they put you in another department where you can't destroy anything by doing nothing.

Gehalt/Sozialleistungen

Is not so bad. But in comparison to the older employees you work 3 times more but get half the money. And if you think you can get an extra bonus for a extraordinary results than you better dream of something else.
And HR is forcing you in All in contracts with lied over hours (12 and more) even though you tell them you are confident that you don't need more than 38 hrs a week for your new task. Take the money and don't do more, nobody will stop you... Or keep the shine and watch you netflix series in home office and write over hours or do it in the office, connection is fine

Is good but don't stay too long cause companies around know how it's going on in here.

Karriere/Weiterbildung

What??? You want to develop in your position no way!! But you can change your job and do something else, even if you have no clue about it, you will move up the ranks. (Works for managers as well, therefor they have no clue what the company is actually doing! Just please the guy above you have a good relation with everybody and don't harm anybody and up it goes) Peter Principle as it's best!
Courses? Tell me what you think you need and then we tell you you don't need this and anyhow it's to expensive.
