The company offers many benefits and opportunities. Lately (for approx. 3 years) I feel that being an Austrian at RHI Magnesita is perceived negatively and I try to hide my real Austrian persona. I feel this is further enhanced by a strong tone from the top that being Austrian equals being bureaucratic, complicated, challenging, old and heavy. I would wish that my cultural background is being treated with the same respect, appreciation and ultimately acceptance as the company demonstrates and asks me every day to show to other colleagues irrespectively of their origin. We live in a beautiful country that offers many benefits, let’s embrace the Austrian culture rather than treating it with negativity.
