mostly body-leasing company, very few places in consulting & solution delivery
Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich
the respectful culture between employees which was in place before corona
Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich
decisions for promotion seemed to be based only on internal visibility.
Management seemed rather old-school organized, considering subordinates as factory workers. which was surprising to me for a company selling agile methods to solve complex problems.
Verbesserungsvorschläge
Everything is perfect, as long as the goal is to keep making money with young business analysts, who stay for 2-3 years
Arbeitsatmosphäre
Before Corona, there was a culture that was in-place (knowing people by name, shaking hand to everybody). It was accessible for body-leased consultants if and only if they could work frequently (more than once per month) from a company office. Doing so, the consultant would not only build an internal network, but also gain internal visibility, which is the way people were promoted.
Kommunikation
Well, there were several changes in main communication medium and style. during one year, nearly all of the communication of top management happened on yammer in post videos, PDF attachment or comments.
Then, most of the communication happened only orally through quarterly meetings at a nation-wide level only.
Frequency & volume were given, transparency less.
Structural reorganisations were communicated several time a year at national and international level (following the employee turnover at management level)
Vorgesetztenverhalten
My first manager was really focused on defining a learning journey for me, to help me gain value on the market.
Unfortunately, the two managers that I had afterwards seemed to feel much more pressure and focus in optimizing my customer facturability (whatever the relevance of the project, whatever the need for training)
The team structure were reorganized (managers, quantity of body leased-consultants per manager, titles of teams) at least once a year during my journey. The depth of the relationship with the manager I was assigned to decreased constantly (no matter the frequency of the meetings).
Interessante Aufgaben
It depends (on the customer but not only). Consultants better discuss internally between each other to get "insider information" on the customer and on the project before accepting any CV transmission to customer, as it is often difficult to say no to a mandate afterwards.
Gleichberechtigung
I had the feeling that it gained focus in the last year and that the situation improved, even if several internal discussion proposals about this topic at a national level were forbidden.
Umgang mit älteren Kollegen
I had the feeling that the vast majority of employees (non cadre) are under 35. But there were exceptions, several between 40-60yo who were at ERNI since more than 5-20 years.
Gehalt/Sozialleistungen
if you are non-cadre, you get only the federal minimum contribution: maybe not a company you should stay long in!
