Went from average to terrible after management sold the firm to London based VCs

None. With the aquisition by FE the Swiss entity fundinfo is no longer a place I can recommend.
Arbeitsatmosphäre
Open plan office contributes to gossiping and mobbing. I felt constantly under observation from management and co-workers. Mobbing was ignored and HR powerless to do anything about it.
Kommunikation
Regular employee meetings were held, but true corporate agenda kept hidden. It's really all about management selling out the company and retiring wealthy, and VCs profiting on re-packaging and reselling the company for a profit in a couple years.
Kollegenzusammenhalt
A mix. Some very nice people, a few truly poisonous ones. In general an atmosphere of suppression and strictly enforced hierarchy - for example a Foosball table stands prominantly in the office but is never (allowed to be) used.
Work-Life-Balance
As the firm offers part-time arrangements, for students or mothers in particular this was beneficial. For the company it was an opportunity to hire cheap labor for execution of tedious data processing and entry. This is changing now with the aquisitition by FE - these jobs are now on the chopping block for outsourcing to the company's substantial subsidiary in India.

Pretty clever management, gave the impression of caring about employees, but it became clear to me with time it was all about lining their own pockets.
Interessante Aufgaben
Interesting to a point, but in the end it was all about proving tools for banks to promote actively managed mutual funds which is really just a fancy term for robbing the ill-informed with glossy brochures.

In almost 4 years, I never received a single raise. Very poor as compared to the dozen or so other companies I have worked for.

Below average pay, poor bonus and raises. No chance to participate in company success or stock. OK, free coffee.
