Great company and culture
Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich
It's a very successful and people-centric company, with progressive management and culture. For example, we've had the 4-day-week since 2021, remote and hybrid work are allowed with a lot of flexibility, we get a good amount of paid time off, and we have very nice offices. The Board communicates very regularly and openly to staff. There's an employee feedback survey every two weeks and top managers read and respond to our comments. I haven't experienced this at any of my previous employers and think this is a "happy oasis".
During Covid, things were even better because the company was making record profits, now despite so many tech companies doing layoffs or closing down offices, Awin is still treating us more than fairly and as far as I'm aware, only a small number of positions have been made redundant.
Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich
There's a small group of negative but very vocal employees that I think are spoiling the atmosphere for the others, instead of appreciating all the good things we have. Senior management is very receptive and approachable with is great, but sometimes this creates an echo chamber for "naysayers".
Arbeitsatmosphäre
Overall a very nice, friendly atmosphere, although there are some naysayers, like at every company
Kommunikation
Very open and frequent communication from the board to all staff, sometimes even too much communication over too many channels
Kollegenzusammenhalt
My team is great, I think in general it's the same in other teams
Work-Life-Balance
It depends on your job, but the Flexi-Week or 4-day-week is fantastic. of course there are times when we have to work a bit extra long or do some work on the 5th day (peak time), but overall work-life-balance is an important value at Awin. We also get to choose when to go to the office and when to work from home, which is not the norm at many other companies
Vorgesetztenverhalten
I've had 3 different managers over my time here, and overall they're all good. Some are a bit junior because Awin tends to develop and promote people, which is a good thing but sometimes can lead to someone not being fully ready for a leadership role. But overall it's good, and the HR team is helpful if there's any issues
Interessante Aufgaben
I like my job here a lot
Gleichberechtigung
D&I is very important, there's a D&I taskforce/committee involving several employees from different departments and countries and they organize different activities and initiatives. staff is also quite diverse compared to other companies in Berlin I've worked at
Umgang mit älteren Kollegen
The majority of staff are quite young, because of our industry (online marketing), and there are relatively few people in their 50-60es
Gehalt/Sozialleistungen
Salaries are not the highest, but in my opinion, this is largely compensated by the benefits and culture
Image
Very well known in the affiliate marketing space, less otherwise, but Awin has won various awards (Glassdoor etc.) so I think the reputation is good
Karriere/Weiterbildung
For a company of this size, I think there are enough career opportunities, but it also depends on your manager and ambition
