The leadership doesn't understand the disciplines they lead, nor do they understand standard development processes. People who kiss up to the leader are promoted, regardless of lack of talent or work ethic.

Communication is really bad. What the leadership says and what they do are often unrelated

Most of the non-leadership colleagues are really cool
Work-Life-Balance
Expectation is that you work all the time. Lip service is given to the idea of holiday.
Vorgesetztenverhalten
Leadership sets unrealistic goals because of lack of understanding and then holds you to those inappropriate goals. Leadership chooses not to listen to the experts they hire.
Interessante Aufgaben
The work itself is really, really interesting. The working conditions are impossible.
Gleichberechtigung
They talk about diversity, but then they hire and promote white, European men, while creating an environment that drives away women and minorities. Except for the token female minority. There are very few non-white employees.
The working environment is not at all accessible and there are no visibly disabled people employed.
Arbeitsbedingungen
Decent equipment, though not amazing. Rooms are overcrowded, loud, and lack proper climate control

Insistence on co-location before the pandemic.
Gehalt/Sozialleistungen
Way below average, even for Germany. Compensation does not reflect work or experience.
Image
People think the world of BI X, it has an excellent image within the parent company. That image does not reflect reality.
Karriere/Weiterbildung
Expectation that you pursue further education in your personal time. Expectation that you adhere to and agree with the leader's (incorrect) assessment of your profession or you have no path for advancement. Completely inadequate assessment competency.
