Please read the cover letter before you invite someone, and the cv as well. You knows applicants take their time and energy and preparation out of their daily time to make the commute to attend the interview, and brushing them off like that is rude and disrespectful. How about setting up a video interview for a first screening instead of calling an applicant for an interview and invite them, to tell them within the first 10 minutes that you need a certain training for this job and you don’t agree with the remote working that the applicant clearly stated as a condition kn their cover letter? This was such a waste of time, plus you felt treated disrespectfully and as if they are in a position to treat applicants like that. Have you noticed that in the tax advisory field the applicants are choosing where to work instead of the companies can treat everyone however they want to without respect and decency?
