Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich

Home office so I did not have to see my toxic team.

Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich

Team communication, salary, people in leadership positions, and everything else.

Verbesserungsvorschläge

Try to have more 1-1s with new starters and tell your AMs and PMs to have better onboarding procedures. The AM warned me for having some time tracked under the "onboarding" budget in my first month. How is this normal? How can I work without learning what I am doing? You hire an entry level person with a very low salary, if you do not want to teach people the job, then hire someone with more experience.

Arbeitsatmosphäre

From the start, my team never tried to teach me anything. There was no proper onboarding nor documentation. At the same time, they expected perfect and flawless results. Several times I experienced comments that are not acceptable such as "We want people with OCD in our team" (because they would work very neatly??). This is just one example for the toxic work environment they have where they see a mental illness as a joke. Also, they constantly talk badly behind the backs of other coworkers and external partners, for example talking bad about a client who went on parental leave in the most disrespectful way, even involving the baby.

Kommunikation

Very bad, they use swear words when you make a mistake or passive-aggressive comments such as "Why would you do this?" Every single piece of information, even the most urgent ones, was held back until the new joiner had to chase it. We took a business trip to a different city, and I randomly found out that I was also joining, only 2 days before it. Maybe next time you can let people know in advance. Also, if you have a team event after the working hours, you can try to communicate it more clearly and not let people know about it only the day before.

Kollegenzusammenhalt

No help to new starters. The team I was in constantly talked bad behind the backs of other teams. There is definitely toxic grouping.

Work-Life-Balance

Home office and 3 months remote work options are great because you don't have to see your toxic coworkers. However, every 2 to 3 months, there are compulsory working hours that were not clearly communicated during my interview process, e.g. you leave the office around 22 to 23 and you go to the office at 6 am the other day. They only told me that this role sometimes had "special working hours" during the interview, but they never really clearly communicated them.

Vorgesetztenverhalten

Very bad, no 1-1s except for "probation talks." The AM in my team did not have any time for anything, she was not really reachable. And the PM could be very rude when you made mistakes and used swear words which intimidated me a lot.

Gehalt/Sozialleistungen

My salary was very very low. There are also almost no benefits except for home office and 3 months remote work. They want people to come to the office more often but when employees ask for subsidized public transportation in the all-hands meeting, they act like they pay wages that are over-average which is not the case.

Karriere/Weiterbildung

If you manage to stay through and adapt to the toxic work environment, you will have chances to get into a senior or lead position without having the right qualifications such as people skills.
