Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich

Honesty, transparency, feels like a family, responsibility and effort get appreciated and rewarded a lot. Autonomy is granted.

Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich

Sometimes not enough focus or too many ideas at the same time - but this is a luxury problem to have if there are more customers and project opportunities and there's constant need to grow.

Verbesserungsvorschläge

Keep doing what you're doing. This is definitely the right track and it's clear that it is a lot of work especially with remnants from the past.

Arbeitsatmosphäre

Generally a high level of trust and honesty inside the company. Success is celebrated together, things that go wrong earn deserved and appropriate criticism that is always based on the work not on the person. In other words: mistakes are being made and people learn from it but are not being punished.

Kommunikation

Monthly townhall with all information from the board of directors, financial data, numbers, plans, strategy, etc. In addition, there are monthly newsletters and general information via a dedicated common MS Teams channel. I have never experienced such open and transparent communication in a different company yet.

Kollegenzusammenhalt

There's good understanding between employees but the collaboration between people could be improved. Especially people who have been in the company for longer are still used to working alone and keeping their pet projects and responsibilities alive and are not always willing to share.

Work-Life-Balance

Above-average paid vacation, additional unpaid vacation budget that you can take without the need for discussion. Training days. Work times within Germany get tracked but so far the only thing caused by that was by someone checking in and saying I should make more breaks and not work until late. So overall: perfect!

Vorgesetztenverhalten

There is not a lot of hierarchy but there are people with experience who do not shy away from taking responsibility even in critical situations. I get treated with respect and fairness. Goals are realistic and it's always an option to say no if something is not manageable or if you need assistance.

Interessante Aufgaben

A healthy mix of maintenance and bugs but also the opportunity to make great impact by bringing in new and fresh ideas. It's a well suited environment for people with intrinsic motivation. People who need to be told exactly what to do next might feel a bit lost at times.

Gleichberechtigung

It's a software company. There are a couple women in leadership positions that come to mind but I feel that there's still room for improvement at the top. It's far better than average though and from what I hear, most women feel appreciated and get equal opportunity.

Umgang mit älteren Kollegen

People with lots of experience are seen as great assets. Different job models and job types help with making things work for everybody involved. I could imagine staying here until I'm old.

Arbeitsbedingungen

Modern office spaces with air conditioning and kitchen and all amenities you could need. Good location, easily accessible by public transport + a short walk. Modern laptops and everything is accessible via remote work. Even after covid19 there will be a good mix between remote work and in-office work.

Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein

Can't complain at all. There are projects being done (gardening) and the company propagates the use of public transport over individual car traffic. When it comes to energy consumption for having an office: this can always be better, of course, but there is responsibility and understanding that tries to think of the environment as well.

Gehalt/Sozialleistungen

I'm mostly happy with my wages. You could potentially earn better at other places but then again that is often more of a compensation for experienced pain. I prefer it this way and I don't feel undervalued.
