Nurture professionalism, and improve in the areas of on-the-job training/coaching and work-life balance. Don't miss out on looking left and right keeping the competitors in sight. Might as well consider some benefits already in place at similar firms. Further, improve internal communication processes.
Arbeitsatmosphäre
I think it wasn't as problematic a year ago as some say, but since then, it has steadily improved thanks to changes in management and the colleagues sticking together. So by now, it is just a nice, warm and funny working atmosphere at Hanfgeflüster.

Work-Life-Balance is key and HR as well as management are starting to acknowledge that fact, and measures are in place. Just a general thought: Yes, working extra hours will give you a competitive advantage if you're young and motivated. But (as long as you're not working at McK etc.) it's all up to you in the end. You will be fine working normal hours.

Has been mediocre but that has also been left behind. Recent changes suggest even further improvements.

Definitely depends on the position - I had a steep learning curve for quite a while.

I have never experienced anything contrary to meeting high standards when it comes to diversity.

Keeping in mind, that the company and most employees are quite young indeed, the employees of older age are being treated as they should - equally.

The office is très chic, and the working conditions there are satisfactory, too. On some days it may get a little crowded. The home office policy reflects an up-to-date standard.

This is crucial, as the company - marketing-wise -prides itself and its products on being "green", fair and so on. At the time, there are just a few relevant gaps left to close and measures have been put in place to live up to these values as well as possible.

When it comes to money: Hanfgeflüster is a non-VC-funded Start-up. On the other hand: Interns are paid according to industry standards and you will be able to negotiate an appropriate salary when working long-term.

The outside image fits well with the inside experience. Set somewhere within the hip Berlin start-up scene, the blooming cannabis sector, shiny influencer(-marketing) and the dry reality of working (in an office for someone else's money).
Karriere/Weiterbildung
Again, it's a Start-up and quite small: If there is a possibility arising and you're ambitious and a fit, great! Huge steps on the ladder have been taken. If it's the wrong place or time, there is no branch abroad for you to transfer to. Just tick it off and move on after your time is up.
