very flexible working hours! working students are encouraged to prioritise their studies and employees are met with understanding if they have to take time off for childcare, to look after their mental health or whatever other reason
how.fm is very open to innovation and simply letting you try things out, which allowed me to take on a great deal of responsibility even in quite a junior role. because of this, I feel like I'm gaining much more experience and more skills than I would in any other student job. there's also some great workshops we get to take part in and that have been very useful to me!
there's a lot of support amongst colleagues and it's common practice to ask for help amongst the team if things are getting stressful. we have lots of fun team events to make us feel more connected too!
our team is currently very young, but I do feel like we would all welcome older colleagues just as much as anyone else!
very flat hierarchies: leaders are really approachable and value the insights of a working student just as much as those of a senior employee
we have very open communication at how.fm and leaders make an effort to keep everyone in the loop about what's happening in the company. the thing i love most about my job is the way i don't really feel like i have to filter or censor myself at all, as can often be the case in a professional context. we have a very informal way of communicating with each other and questions are always welcome!
tasks can be quite varied and the company is great at supporting you grow in the direction you want to grow in!
