Overworked and under-reckognized
Arbeitsatmosphäre
A bunch of young nice colleagues working for a small management team, sitting in their ivory tower, hand picking their own privileges and their pets among the employees.
Kommunikation
Way too many useless meetings for everybody to produce themselves with tiny job details nobody is interested in, while participation in strategic questions does not exist.
Kollegenzusammenhalt
There is a spirit of joint free time activities (lots of beer in Germany) and the colleagues are nice. But what unites them is their common enemy, management and the company, and I've never ever worked at a place where there is constantly so much complaining, badmouthing and gossiping. But there is also always so much drama, people leaving, getting fired - ridiculous high turn-over of staff.
Work-Life-Balance
Those with kids or in a management position seem to have all liberties in the world, but others have to fight for each hour of remote work. Overtime (sometimes in ridiculous dimensions) is expected and not compensated, and those leaving have to fight to be able to take their remaining holidays.
Vorgesetztenverhalten
Little recognition and appreciation of others work. Micromanagement seems to be a doctrine. Management can't deal with constructive criticism but reacts (passive-)aggressively
Interessante Aufgaben
The field is interesting, so there is always a niche to find. For most.
Gleichberechtigung
Although internationally diverse, very Caucasian. Nearly only women, but the ED.
Umgang mit älteren Kollegen
They want young, rather inexperienced people and then demand personal loyalty. Their management shows, if you comply, you can get up.
Arbeitsbedingungen
Hot, ugly, technologically outdated office in Moabit.
Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein
They have policies and apply them.
Gehalt/Sozialleistungen
Way too little money for way too much work - besides for those on the top.
Image
As I said, badmouthing management is the favorite sport among team members. Everybody else in Berlin rolls their eyes when you mention the company's name.
Karriere/Weiterbildung
There is a personal development budget.
